I revamped the layout for my Earth’s Children fanlisting since I was getting bored with the previous version. The new layout is the same as most of my other fanlistings since I seem to be lacking in inspiration at the moment.

I’m really pleased the fanlisting is attracting so many members and there has been a definite surge over the past week or two. Initially, this fanlisting was really slow in attracting new members so it is good to see it grow.

I’ve removed the comments feature because I’m sick and tired of people asking me when I’m going to release the sixth book in the series. I can’t seem to get it across that I’m not Jean Auel nor do I have any connection with her.

I think I’m going to start removing the comments feature on all my fanlistings to stop this sort of thing from happening. I have disclaimers on all my fanlistings but they are completely ignored.

So, what did I splurge on today? I bought a dolphin!

Okay, I adopted a dolphin. We have a pod of bottlenosed dolphins in the Moray Firth area and I was exploring their website today at work after it was suggested to me by a work colleague. I decided to adopt a male dolphin called Lightning. I may adopt another called Sundance at a later date, but it depends on whether I opt to adopt an Orca whale or not. I’m still thinking about it. I love dolphins though.

I’ve been looking at adopting a wolf pup as well but there don’t seem to be any schemes like that outside of the US at the moment. I could become a member of a UK site but I want to adopt a specific wolf. We don’t have any free wolves in the Highlands at the moment but there is a sanctuary at a secret location that is working on a plan to reintroduce them into the area. Unfotunately wolves seem to have a bad reputation and if the general public make a song and dance about it, the wolves will not be released. I think they are beautiful animals.

Have you ever had the urge to buy a domain because you like a word? I really like the name “afterglow” after buying Sarah MacLachlan’s new album but it has already been taken. Just as well because I don’t need another domain!

I seem to have deserted this blog in favour of Livejournal which is so much fun. I met a new friend there yesterday and I am very much looking forward to getting to know him better. The internet is so good for meeting people from different parts of the world.

We suffered a tragedy in Scotland this week. Yesterday a factory in Glasgow blew up and people are still being rescued from the debris. The images on the TV and in the newspapers are shocking and very upsetting. It looks like an earthquake struck the area. Awful!

Had a hint of some good news on the job front as well but I’m trying not to get my hopes up so that I’m not too disappointed if it doesn’t happen. I think it is too late for that to be honest. It’s going to really hurt if I get rejected again and this job is so perfect for me.

I’m so tired right now and my eyes are itching like mad. First hint of sunshine and everyone starts mowing the lawn. I have terrible trouble with hayfever and I feel like my eyes are going to fall out. UGH!

I’m feeling a bit tearful just now. Don’t know why. Guess I’m just tired.

Oh, she’s at it again! Changing the layout. I fell in love with this layout when I saw it over at Alex King and I decided to change the style back to pure CSS so that I can change it more often.

This layout is just so summery! Shame it is raining outside.
