Pixel Painting

I was faffing (< — is that a real word?) around with PSP8 this afternoon trying to make some collages but all the tuts I found were for PS which I don’t have anymore. I attempted to follow the tuts anyway, thinking maybe I could make some substitutes but it was a hopeless task since I don’t know enough about PSP8 to try and reproduce the same results.

So, I decided to pop over to Angelic Designs and have a look at the new tuts. I haven’t done any pixel painting for ages simply because I haven’t had the time and I recently paid for life membership. As soon as I got there, I discovered I couldn’t log in and when I contacted Tracy, she told me my membership had expired. Eh? I’d only just paid for the life membership thing! Anyway, it was her mistake and she apologised and I got into the site again. She has this new series of designs called Sweetie Pops that are really cute! I’m looking forward to doing them!

I didn’t do any writing today *hides* but I just felt like doing something different. I’ll do some more tomorrow! Promise!!

CSI: Crimelab

CSI: Crimelab is back!!! Bigger and better than before! I’m now accepting fanlistings for CSI: Miami and CSI: New York. I also have a spotlight section and will be giving a special award for the FOTM (Fanlisting of the Month) as soon as I make it and of course choose a site.

CSI:Crimelab

The server hosting this site was upgraded this week and I ended up with a whole load of unexpected site problems. Not to mention the fact that the stats for this domain were apparently wrong and I seem to have a lot more space than I previously thought! This kinda ticks me off because I deleted my CSI directory because I was running out of room.

Anyway, I found a great new script and I’m going to upload CSI:Crimelab again this weekend with a bit of luck. So if you are looking for it - my apologies - it will be back soon!

It’s my last week at work and I’m really looking forward to leaving. Dealing with the public in a call centre is a thankless task and one I won’t miss!

Topsy Turvy

Well, this has been a strange couple of weeks. It started really great because I found out my favourite band, Wet Wet Wet, have reformed and are touring again at the end of the year. I won’t be going to any of the concerts because I don’t think I’m quite ready for the noise and large crowds. My ears are still really sensitive and I’m still getting the odd anxiety spell but not as bad as before. I had a few rough spots last week and was determined not to let it get the better of me. I’m taking it as a good sign and hopefully I will be able to stop taking the beta blockers. I’m looking forward to the day I never think about it again!

The rough part of the week was finding out my two fave characters from CSI have been fired over a pay dispute. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that people involved will sit down and negotiate with cool heads. They should be reinstated and CBS needs to stop being so greedy and ungrateful. Those two fine actors deserve every cent they ask for and more!

Job Applications
Posted on July 5th, 2004 @ 8:04 am

I’ve just spent the whole morning getting a CV together for a job in a bookstore which is about to open in my town. I have to fill in an application form as well as sending a CV. For goodness sake, why both? This is actually the first time I’ve ever had to make up a CV because it has always been application forms. I was bit hestitant as to the layout but I managed to find a website that had a CV generator - all I had to do was type in the relevant info and there it was. You have to pay to download it but I just cut and paste it into Word. Now I just need to fill in the application form which has all these tiny little boxes which aren’t nearly big enough. I have a lot of my stuff on the PC, like Work History and my qualifications so I just printed them off and will enclose them with the app. *fingers crossed*
