I had to bite the bullet and actually go shopping today for some new clothes. Now, I’m one of those rare females who actually despises shopping with a passion, especially when all the shops seems to cater for the teen market and forget everyone else. I don’t have the figure of a stick insect either and have come to the conclusion that I must be fat because nothing ever fits me. Some of us actually have breasts….

And don’t even get me started on changing room mirrors - why can’t they lie like everyone else instead of showing the brutal truth?

Anyway, after much raking about in every shop in the town centre, I finally got some t-shirts in Debenhams that will do for work. They are nothing fancy but since I have to mess around with dirty scanners, fight with franking machines and stamp large quantities of mail - there’s no point in wearing fancy clothes. Functional is best and that’s my excuse!

Remind me again what season it is supposed to be? Apparently England’s basking in 30 degree temperatures while the rest of the country freezes its ass off. It is currently wet and completely miserable in Scotland - it is so cold it feels like the middle of the winter. I’m a literally shaking with the cold as I try to type this - I’m off for some hot tea and then I’m gonna curl up in bed to watch TV.

Okay, I decided the other layout just wasn’t right for the site. I found a fabulous artist who makes great layouts and am busy re-designing my sites. This one was a really PITA to customize for WordPress though! I’ve still got the smilies to change and a few other tweaks to do which can wait for another night.

I’m aware the layout is slightly too big for a 800*600 resolution in IE and you have the annoying scrollbar but I’m sure you all have bigger monitors than mine and to be frank, I couldn’t care less about IE.

I got bored with the Butterfly theme and thought I’d go with a pre-made layout by someone else. It’s light years better than anything I can do myself and well, I don’t have the same time to mess around with layouts these days.

On the personal front, nothing much has been happening. LOL! Works takes up so much of my time and the days are just flying in. I was a bit upset about something this morning, actually “upset” isn’t the right word, more like pissed off. I was working with a different girl yesterday and if you looked up the word “slacker” in the dictionary - her picture would be right there! I kid you not! Anyway, I’m not going to bore you with the details but her work was shoddy and it ended up making me look bad. I kept quiet this time because I’m such a wuss and didn’t want to create an atmosphere but if there is a next time - I’m not holding back.

I booked my tickets for Episode VI on Saturday! I’m really looking forward to it now that all the reviews are positive. The last two were so disappointing.

Oh, big CSI finale tonight, I’m being such a good girl and avoiding spoilers and video snippets. I’m not going to say anthing else here in case I accidently spoil it for someone.

As if totally nuking my layout here wasn’t enough, I went and did the same thing on one of my fansites. It’s a good job the content is integrated into WP or I may have just scrapped the whole thing. Anyway, since the layout on both my fansites are indentical, I just copied over the pages and got it back up in no time.

You know it constantly amazes me how ignorant some ppl can be on the internet. It’s as if they think anonymity gives them the right to be rude and to forget simple courtesy. I mean when someone asks me for information, I’m only to happy to give it if I can but when that same person doesn’t even bother to acknowledge it - it can be very demoralizing. Is it too much trouble to say thanks or even reply to an e-mail?

I just upgraded to the latest version of Wordpress and totally nuked my layout. I’ll fix it tomorrow. LOL! Guess this is my Friday 13th screw up!
