Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Not long to go now! We’re heading down the cemetery in a little while to place a holly wreath where my grandparents’ ashes are scattered, then the rest of the day will be all about last minute preparations. I’m going to be burning a candle tonight in memory of those loved ones who are not with us and then try to have a good time tomorrow. We’ll be part of a bigger family circle this year since we are all going out to dinner so I’m sure we’ll be able to enjoy ourselves while still thinking about Grandma. Goodness knows, she’d kick us up the behind if we let ourselves get too maudlin. Grandma loved family gatherings…

So, all that is left is for me to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and if you don’t celebrate it - have a good day!

Hope you Christmas is awesome!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!! Thank you for the beatiful card :) I LOVEEEE it and I will show Taylor the card when she gets home. Big hugs and kisses from all of us to you :)

What a nice Christmas tradition!
Wishing you and your family a lovely dinner and Marry Christmas to you all:-)

Hey Caledonia,

You are adding to our celebration today.
My parents got to look at all the gifts you sent, and then we played the bagpipe and looked at the magnets.
I have a photo to post of the kitchen with your lovely pot holders and tea towels shining out nicely on the door of the stove.

I baked yesterday. I made a family favourite. Albert cake is the best favourite. I know that it is a Scottish recipe. Do you make Albert Cake?
It has a bit of jam in the bottom of the cake. We make them as Albert Cake Tarts. Tart shell, then a dab of rasberry jam then white cake mix baked, then cooled and iced on top.

Between that and shortbread are the family favourites.

Have a great Christmas!
