What Goes Around…March 22nd, 2007 @ 8:05 pm
I’ve been speaking for months about how much trouble a work colleague is being and how the management seem to be oblivious to it all. Well, it just goes to prove the old saying is true - what goes around really does come around. Due to holidays, S has been left as the most experienced member in the dept and she has basically screwed up one thing after another. We’ve had numerous complaints about the quality of work from other depts and finally, the managers are taking notice!
In a way, I’m so glad S has been put into this position this week because it means the staff who foresaw the problems have been vindicated. H and I have been positively skipping with glee the past couple of days which may seem cruel but you have to understand how much stress we’ve been under since no one seemed to be listening to us. It was so frustrating! Now, that it has all come to a head, I hope it can be resolved to everyone’s satisfaction.

I didn’t know the facts before this post, but I know the situation from earlier working places of mine and understand how it must feel for you. What a turning! Great!
I hope everything will change now for you

I always enjoy ‘what comes around, goes around’ stories. I have one about an old granny i encountered on a bus a decade ago over here if it interests you.
I can understand the perception of ‘cruetly’ & sadness attached to the phenomena, but i’ve also found that the “it does come around” part can be a really good way of coping with with things during the times when things get rough for you.
Good on you for enjoying a moment to simply have a “break” from it all
Fingers crossed that the event will lead towards constructive changes in your workplace.
