Back To Work
September 3rd, 2007 @ 6:00 pm

I very reluctantly got out of bed this morning to go back to work, wondering what I would face once I got there. Things weren’t too bad but I had a headache within an hour which just goes to prove the headaches are stress-related. It seems nothing much has changed so I decided just to take things easy today and not let it get to me. It is so damn hard though watching some people doing nothing while others work themselves to death to compensate. We need new management and that’s the real problem.

I also discovered that I no longer work for The Scottish Executive, apparently I’m now working for The Scottish Government. Our First Minister, Alex Salmond has spent £100,000 of taxpayers money changing signs and letterheads since it seems no one really understood why we had an “executive” instead of a “government”. It seems governments can always find money for stupid things like this but never for the really important stuff.

Oh, sometimes I really wonder how people in those positions ended up there in the first place. Maybe it wasn’t any sane person wanting the position? *giggles*

I hope your work situation changes, it’s no fun having it like that since we do spend so much time of our lives at work. Well, not me right now, but anyway :-)

I do know about headaches too, not that mine were stress related, but I had my share anyway - a very bad migraine for many years. YUK.

I use to say that I have filled my quota of headaches for the rest of my life…. *giggles*

Some years ago we had a very nice TV reportage called “useless works” (Travaux inutiles) showing the most senseless and crazy things what governments were spending tax money for like a bridge which lead nowhere or buildings which were never used etc. The reportage was very funny but not really for tax payers !

Sorry to hear about your stressful start. From now on it can only go better then!
Sometimes executives sucks. We have an election in a week in Norway: Time for a change here too:-)
