There are some days when I find myself cursing the fact some laws are different in Scotland and England. There are a few major changes coming into force in England next week in regards to a change in a certain Act and it is causing a lot of problems for our office which is governed by a similar Act.
The whole problem is the changes in England are getting a lot of media attention and people are not taking the time to listen or read properly. The articles in the Press clearly state the changes are happening in ENGLAND and WALES, so why all the panic in Scotland? If we were about to do the same thing, we’d let people know about it. It also doesn’t help when a national newspaper gets their facts wrong and gives out our telephone number when talking about the English office. And, of course, when I point that out to callers, it then becomes my fault. Huh?
It’s all causing a lot of confusion and I have days where I just want to stick my head in a bucket!
ETA: we’ve had the official central heating switch on so now it is WINTER!!
But please take an empty bucket ! then you could use it as hat and give some inspiration to dear Camilla.
If you see the mess here in Belgium between the flemish and wallon politicians it’s worse ! Belgium is now since July without government because because the flemish wants it to be flemish and the wallons don’t agree ! It became a joke meanwhile !

What a surprise ! Yesterday I found a parcel in our letterbox. I usually never get parcels anymore so I opened it with a lot of curiosity. Thank you 1000 times (and more) What nice gifts !! The little scottish Teddybear is soo cute ! And you know what ? I never got a Teddybear in my whole life, not even as a child. I had all kind of stuffed animals but no Teddybear. So this is my very first one and sits now on my bed ! Also the book mark, pin badge and fridge magnet are very nice, you really spoiled me !! And on top, I never won anything not even on a fair ! That’s why I never play. But this time I hit the jackpot apparently ! I wanted to write you a personal email, but can’t find your address anymore. Sometimes I make order in my “sent mails” and have deleted your address. Now I have to go to Dùn Èideann ! Lol !

Oh, I hate when people don’t pay attention properly. Maybe they’re too stressed nowadays, I think it has becoming worse lately.
