I’ve had a rough week at work and I’m tired of feeling so down. It’s time to move on!
Some of you may be aware that I’m part of a Cyber Cruise hosted by Mrs Lifecruiser which gives visitors a chance to “visit” other countries around the world and explore new cultures. When I first heard about the cruise, I thought it was a crazy idea and that it would never work but I decided to hang around anyway. I started out as an A Swab member which meant I could “visit” but couldn’t “host” which I really, really wanted to do because it was so much more fun.
Anyway, when the cruise came off its hiatus, I was determined to do better and I got promoted to A Team Cruiser which meant I got to take my fellow cruisers on special trips! The cruise started off as just a fun way of getting to know other bloggers but it has become so much more and it is breaking down a lot of cultural barriers. Something that is so important in this day and age! I’ve made a lot of new friends and I’ve learned a lot from the posts (I will never think Norsemen are only Norwegian again). See, the cruise is educational as well as being fun!
So, to all my fellow cruisers: thanks for taking the time to visit me and leaving me wonderful comments. To Mrs Lifecruiser, thanks for having such a wonderful idea. To the rest of you, why aren’t you with us?
PS: Watch out for a special cyber cruise competition coming to a computer screen near you!
(Dutifully, adds suggested links so she gets to keep her luxury cabin!)

Yeah, right… I am so furious about an incident at work today, I feel like curling up into a tight ball and crying myself to sleep. Some people are just mean and downright shitty to others. I’m sick of it. Apparently, an e-mail was sent around today stating I was complaining about something and people were coming up to me asking what the problem was and whether they were to blame. I had absolutely no idea what they were talking about but I have an idea who is responsible for the whole thing and I’m not letting it go. Of course, my manager wasn’t around today but I will be discussing this with her. No one has the right to use me as an excuse to make others toe the line and I don’t want people thinking I’m a crabby bitch.
Sometimes I really hate people…
I very reluctantly got out of bed this morning to go back to work, wondering what I would face once I got there. Things weren’t too bad but I had a headache within an hour which just goes to prove the headaches are stress-related. It seems nothing much has changed so I decided just to take things easy today and not let it get to me. It is so damn hard though watching some people doing nothing while others work themselves to death to compensate. We need new management and that’s the real problem.
I also discovered that I no longer work for The Scottish Executive, apparently I’m now working for The Scottish Government. Our First Minister, Alex Salmond has spent £100,000 of taxpayers money changing signs and letterheads since it seems no one really understood why we had an “executive” instead of a “government”. It seems governments can always find money for stupid things like this but never for the really important stuff.

Welcome to Lincoln Castle! Cyber cruisers are advised this tour is not for the faint of heart, we will see evidence of torture and executions so hold hands if necessary! William the Conqueror began building Lincoln Castle two years after the Battle of Hastings in 1066 on a site formerly occupied by the Romans. For 900 years, the castle was used as a garrison and a court with regular executions on the ramparts so watch your step my fellow cruisers!
