No Avoiding It
November 6th, 2007 @ 8:58 pm

I’ve just spent an hour trawling through the wonders of Amazon in search of suitable Nintendo DS games for the my nephews and niece in an effort to get organised for Christmas. The trouble is they are too young for the top rated games but some of the kids ones are just downright awful. I guess I’m going to have to stick with the old family favourites: The Simpsons (Nephew #1 is mad on them), Strawberry Shortcake (suitably frilly and girly for Niece) and I think I’m either going for one of the Mario games or the new Power Rangers for Nephew #2.

I also ordered a fabulous Thomas Kinkade Wonderland Express Christmas Tree. My mum loves Thomas Kinkade’s art but it is way too expensive for us so it’s nice to be able to buy other stuff. I like some of his paintings but I’m not mad keen on the Christian side of things. It’s not really a present for her but she has admired other versions of the table top trees so I’m sure she’ll get a kick out of it.

I’ve also ordered my MacBook Pro and am trying to wait patiently on its arrival but it is so not working! I can’t wait to have a go!

You are smart to be Christmas shopping already, and that is a great idea going on Ebay for gifts. That is a really pretty tree! :-D

Here in Sweden many of us have stopped to send xmas card, including me. I may send a few to some one dear that is lonely or I can’t reach, but that’s all. And you should know that I was the person that sent the most xmas card earlier than any one. I even draw some - and always calligraphy. Since my back broken I’ve been forced to give it up, like many things.

It is a nice tradition though. I think people over here are too stressed nowadays. It’s a pity.

I know that Scotland have some wonderful cards, I’ve seen a lot when I was there and I bought some too. I’ve been a postcard freak earlier :-)

I’m hoping that we could go away for the xmas holidays this year, but I’m not sure. We’ll see.

I’m throwing a blogwarming party tomorrow Friday, I’d miss you terrible if not coming :-)
