I’ve been so busy this week, I haven’t had much time to be online. We always seem to lurch from one crisis to another at work and I have the misfortune of being able to do every job in my department which means I’ve been bouncing from one area to another the entire week. The good news is we finally got a new member of staff so once she is up and running, it will take the pressure of me a little. The bad news is we still have two members of staff who are nothing more than dead wood and we can’t do anything about it. We are literally screwed.

I’ve also had a lot of headaches this week due to the weird weather we are having. I get headaches with barometric pressure changes and we have had nothing but constant rain and grey skies for over a week now. I think the chances of us having any kind of late Summer are nil which means we have had no Summer at all this year. Since I’m not much of a sun person anyway, the lack of Summer doesn’t bother me but the constant humidity is killing me. I long for a heavy thunder storm to clear the air. Yesterday, it was so bad at work, most of us were yawning our heads off because we felt like our energy was being zapped.

I was looking forward to a good night’s sleep last night and a long lie this morning but my asshole of a neighbour decided this was the night he was going to pretend to be a teenager again. The idiot is in his fifties but has never grown up and has to be one of the ugliest men I’ve had the misfortune to meet. He used to hang around me when I was a teenager and he made me feel really creepy. Everyone else seemed to think it was hilariously funny and called him my boyfriend. Idiots. Thankfully, he has burned too many bridges with his anti-social behaviour and he doesn’t get passed the door of any of our other neighbours now. He’s never had a real job in his life but seems to manage to work round the benefits system which makes him a leech in my eyes when he is perfectly capable of working.

I finally got the design for Caledonia Heritage uploaded and launched the my new Scottish blog, albeit quietly. That’s where I will be talking about Scotland from now on, so I hope you will come and visit me.
