My free week is over and it has been bliss. No stress, no headaches. It’s actually felt like quite a long week which makes a change because usually they fly by. Maybe it is because I’ve been so busy on Christmas stuff. I don’t mind going back so much because I don’t have any full weeks until the New Year and I’m so determined not to let things get to me so much. I don’t get paid to worry about half the stuff I worry about anyway.
Yesterday, we headed to Ayrshire to check on the caravan which has been closed up for the winter. My mum wanted to check on some repairs and change the dishes of salt which collect the dampness. The caravan park was totally empty of people and it felt kind of eerie. The caravan itself was also really, really cold since it has been lying empty and the power is disconnected. We didn’t stay for long, thank goodness, because it was getting really windy by the sea. I always feel like I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards when I’ve been down there. Forget doing anything with you hair!
Afterwards, we headed into Glasgow for a wander around the shops and of course it was pouring with rain by this time. There were a lot of shops having special sales but they were remarkably quiet considering it was a Friday.
Once we were home, I curled up and watched The Dark Knight on DVD. I love Christian Bale. The lights kept flickering though and I was expecting a power cut but thankfully, it didn’t happen.
Ah, well, wrapping up here I come.
